Early Voting Begins April 25 in Upcoming General Election
Early voting begins Monday, April 25 for the City’s May 7 General Election and will continue through Tuesday, May 3. Registered Bedford voters can cast their ballot at any Tarrant County early voting location (including the Bedford Public Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) on the following dates and times:

Board of Trustees approves new statue, nature education building for Auburn’s campus
Two new additions to the Auburn University campus—one honoring a baseball great and the other focused on the great outdoors—were approved by the Board of Trustees on Friday.

Animal Shelter Temporarily Reduces Lobby Hours
Due to temporary staffing shortages, the Animal Shelter lobby will have reduced lobby hours of 1 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The shelter will have the same lobby hours on Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Maintenance Work to Close Section of Cheyenne Greenway
Beginning Monday May 2nd, maintenance work along the Greater Cheyenne Greenway will take place near Mylar Park. Approximately 1,044 square feet of greenway path near Short Rd. and Prairie Ave. will be replaced to remedy tripping hazards and minimize damage to snowplow equipment. Work is anticipated to last 10 days, weather permitting.

The City Bondurant Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee - Join us for the discussion
The Bondurant City Council and the City Staff are starting a new ad hoc Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. We are inviting our community members, business leaders, and partners to join us for a kick-off meeting on Monday, May 9 at 6 pm. Rental Housing Registration Now Open for Property Owners
In January, the Laramie City Council voted to adopt the Laramie Rental Housing Code which requires the registration of rental housing, sets minimum habitability standards, and establishes a process to file complaints regarding non-compliant rental housing. Over the course of 2022 and 2023, the new municipal code requirements will be implemented in phases.

East Cheyenne Community Park Open House set for April 28
A second public open house for the East Cheyenne Community Park will take place Thursday, April 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Saddle Ridge Elementary School Gymnasium (6815 Wilderness Trail). Please enter the building at the gymnasium entrance approximately 100 feet west of the main entrance.
