2021 has 6.7% of Sweetwater County residents unemployed

Sweetwater County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,503 people out of the 42,459 living in Sweetwater County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Sweetwater County has increased compared to the 6.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Sweetwater County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.1%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
