Campbell County Health recently issued the following announcement.
May is designated as Better Speech and Hearing Month to raise awareness about communication disorders. Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with children and adults who have speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. A person’s ability to communicate effectively and eat safely are important to their livelihood and quality of life.
CCH has three speech-language pathologists who work with residents at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center, Rehab Services in the Stocktrail Building, and with inpatients at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Thanks to Tanner Low, Wendy Echols an Shelbi Polvado for their care for patients and residents during Better Speech and Hearing Month, and every day throughout the year.
CCH Rehabilitation Services has the most comprehensive rehabilitation services in the region, treating patients in their homes, in the hospital, and in our outpatient facilities, including the only therapeutic pool in the community.
