The Boulder Police Department is seeking more information about a car crash that seriously injured one driver on Saturday.

At approximately 8:12 a.m. on Feb. 18, Boulder Police and Boulder Fire-Rescue responded to a two-vehicle crash near Arapahoe Avenue and Conestoga Street.

A Tesla Model 3 was driving eastbound on Arapahoe Ave when a Subaru Crosstrek traveling westbound on Arapahoe turned left in front of the Tesla. The vehicles collided in the intersection and then the Subaru struck a power pole at the southeast corner. The Subaru driver— a 31-year-old male —was extracted by Fire-Rescue personnel and transported to the hospital with significant injuries. The Tesla driver—a 50-year-old male—did not report any injuries at the scene. The drivers were the only occupants of both vehicles, pictured here.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and Boulder Police are looking for additional witnesses and video surveillance in the area that may have captured any footage of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Kaufman at 720-291-2768 or email at KaufmanD@bouldercolorado.gov
