Town of Jackson recently issued the following announcement.
May 1st traditionally marks the opening of the elk antler shed collection. The Jackson Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (National Elk Refuge) have specific regulations surrounding shed collecting and access to areas of shed collection. Participants in the shed hunt are strongly encouraged to visit the National Elk Refuge website. Please know that it is illegal to collect, possess, sell, purchase, or transport any natural product, including shed antlers, from the National Elk Refuge.
Starting Friday, April 1, 2022 at 9:00am the Shed Hunt Line-Up Application can be accessed on the Town of Jackson’s Website. CLICK HERE for the APPLICATION.
