Harris Ryals Park is getting a chalk art makeover! Join us on Saturday, November 5 from noon to 3 p.m. for the City’s annual Chalk It Up! Chalk Art Contest.

Beginning at noon, participants will be assigned a concrete square to create their masterpiece. The first 75 people to register will receive their own set of chalk, or you can bring your own. Extra chalk will be available, while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded based on a variety of categories: 6 and under, 7-10 years old, 11-14 years old, 15-17 years old, 18 and up, overall best 3-D, most unique, best use of color, and best fall theme!

Come hungry as we’ll have the Miss Georges Grilled Cheese food truck on-site to keep those creative juices flowing. Parking will be available at Spring Garden Elementary School and the current YMCA parking lot. The event is free; however, registration is required. Register online.
